Building Update Essential Maintance - After the temporary closure of Lanchester Medical Centre Building on Thursday 8th April 2021, we can confirm that the services at Lanchester Medical Centre Building resumed on 9th April 2021. Thank you to everyone who has supported the practice in maintaining services to patients during the building closure.

COVID-19 vaccine Oxford-AstraZeneca and blood clotting

Recently there have been reports of an extremely rare but serious condition involving blood clots and unusual bleeding after AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccination.  The national committee which recommends on vaccines has therefore recommended that patients under 40 years are no longer offered this vaccine for their first dose. If you have already had a first dose of AZ vaccine without suffering this rare side effect you should still complete the course with the AZ vaccine for your second dose, even if you are under 40.  For more information please see https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-vaccination-and-blood-clotting/covid-19-vaccination-and-blood-clotting

Physiotherapy Assessment

The physiotherapists are now offering assessment appointments to any patients with new problems. You do not need to see the GP to make an appointment.

Please ask for a form at reception or you can download the form.

Physiotherapy Self Referral Form

Once you complete the form you can hand it to reception or email it to cdda-tr.centralbooking@nhs.net or post to: AHP Central Appointments. 1st Floor Education Building, Bishop Auckland General Hospital, Cockton Hill Road, Bishop Auckland, Co Durham, DL14 6AD
